Peanut butter cup brownies

These are so obvious. I know they’ve been done a thousand times, but this is my first go at it. Sometimes sticking with the simple things, you get the best things.
My husband did laundry over the weekend. A lot of laundry. Like, if it was made of fabric and could fit in the washer, he washed it.
I didn’t stop him.
But I did feel bad for not doing more to help. So I made him brownies. With peanut butter cups.
Best wife ever? I think so.
It’s so easy to make. And if you’re a from the box kind of person, I suppose you could do that, but don’t tell me! Because this takes just as long as dumping a box and adding in some milk and oil and eggs. Promise.
It’s simple! Buy peanut butter cups.
You just make the brownie batter. Pour half into the pan, then line up your peanut butter cups in a nice enough fashion.
Then you cover the peanut butter cups with the remaining brownie batter.
You bake it, then you eat it.
Here’s how to make it!
Ingredients
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
peanut butter cups
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare a brownie tin with cooking spray, set aside.
In a stand mixer, combine oil, sugar, vanilla, and eggs until well blended. Add in the dry ingredients and mix for two minutes.
Pour half the batter into the brownie tin. Place the peanut butter cups on top, then pour the remaining batter on top.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. (Make sure not to test the center of the peanut butter cup.)
