Apologies the photo is awful.
But it tastes fantastic.
I love one pot meals. This one reminds me a lot of growing up on Hamburger Helper.
But have you ever read the ingredient list?
No, thanks.
This, however? Yes, please.
Oh man, it’s good.
Here’s how to make it!
original recipe
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey (or beef)
2 tablespoons minced onion
2 tsp minced garlic
a dash of pepper
can of tomato sauce (28 oz)
can of tomato paste
8 oz cream cheese (I used Neufchâtel)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
egg noodles
Directions
In a large skillet, brown the turkey until no longer pink and juices run clear. Drain. Add the onion, garlic and pepper and saute for about a minute. Reduce the heat to medium and mix in the tomato sauce and tomato paste.
Add the cream cheese, parmsean cheese, cottage cheese and cheddar cheese. Simmer on the stove top for 10-15 minutes.
In the meantime, boil the egg noodles, and drain.
Mix the egg noodles into the skillet and serve.
(If you like a thicker sauce, you can bake it in a pyrex pan at 350 for 20 minutes. It’s the way my husband likes it.)

This looks GREAT, no matter what you say, and I too am a total Hamburger Helper kid. Obviously I will eat anything with cream cheese in it, and then onions and garlic and parmesan cheese? YES.
