The short: I have a healthy obsession with the gym, baking and my kids. Just not in that order.
The long: Born in Minneapolis in the awesome year of ’84, I grew up loving Raffi and George Harrison. Nothing much has changed since my daughter does, too. Being cool isn’t something you’re made into, you’re born that way.
Now living in Pittsburgh, I work one day a week as a nurse at a local hospital and teach five classes a week at my gym. In my free time I love to cook, draw, craft and make a mess. I write like I think, so take that however you want. I’m married to a truely awesome man who puts up with my crap on a daily basis. My three kids are the most gorgeous creatures I’ve ever seen. (Which is not only bias but a fact.) Claire Raelyn, Luca Matthew and Maelie Julianne are sweet, kind, a little annoying and a lot rambunctious. Welcome to a piece of chaos I call my life!

Hi, I’m Jessica. I live in Shreveport, Louisiana where I work full-time as a writer/editor/graphic designer. When I’m not doing that, I’m filling my hours playing with my baby girl and going on walks with my husband and our two border collies. When I have free time (ha!) I read through books like a crazy woman. Good stories help keep me sane. I love to cook and enjoy seeing the confused looks on not-so-southern people’s faces when I talk about delicious king cakes and etoufees. I also love to travel and try “famous foods” wherever I go.
